چکیده
In the present study, a comparison of two widely used optimization approaches for fused deposition modeling (FDM), that is, Taguchi method in contrast with response surface (RSM), was investigated. Four operating parameters, namely extrusion temperature, layer thickness, raster width, print speed, and their interaction terms, were identified as control variables three levels, while tensile strength compressive selected responses. L27 orthogonal array face-centered central composite design (FCCCD) experimental approach RSM, respectively. The signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio analysis variance (ANOVA) employed to find optimal FDM parameter combination well main factor affect performance PLA samples. Based on results, it observed conclusions about significant ranking parameters process from these methods different. However, both RSM succeed predicting better results compared original groups. addition, optimum combinations obtained 2.11% 8.15% higher than method,

Parametric optimization of cylindrical grinding process through hybrid Taguchi method and RSM approach using genetic algorithm
The present investigation proposes a hybrid technique: Taguchi method, response surface methodology (RSM) and genetic algorithm (GA), to analyze, model and predict vibration and surface roughness in traverse cut cylindrical grinding of aluminum alloy. Experiments have been conducted as per L9 orthogonal array of Taguchi methodology using several levels of the grinding parameters. Analysis of va...
متن کاملIntegrating the Taguchi Method and Response Surface Methodology for Process Parameter Optimization of the Injection Molding
The outer coating of an optical fiber cable protects the optical fiber, and the contraction rate of the outer coating can affect the communication capacity and distance, so the contraction rate is often regarded as the key factor in defining the quality of an optical fiber cable. For this reason, using the example of the circular single-pin optical fiber cable manufacturing process of the large...
متن کاملOptimization of Edm Process Parameters Using Taguchi Method: a Review
Electrical discharge machining is assessed on the basis of Material Removal Rate (MRR), Tool Wear Rate (TWR), and Surface Roughness (SR). Process parameters that mostly affected the EDM Process are Pulse on Time, Pulse off Time, Discharge Current, Arc Gap and Duty Cycle. This paper reviews research for the optimization and improvement of various performance parameters measured in the experiment...

ABSTRACT The objective of this investigation is to obtain an optimal setting of process parameters in turning for maximizing the material removal rate of the manufactured component. The material removal rate has been investigated in this analysis while machining practically used components. As per Taguchi’s “Design of Experiments”, the number of experiments to be conducted in this analysis is c...
متن کاملOptimization of Moving Wingin Ground Effect using Response Surface Method
Optimization of the sectional wing in ground effect (WIG) has been studied using ahigh order numerical procedure and response surface method (RSM). Initially, the effects of the ground clearance, angle of attack, thickness, and camber of wing have been investigated by a high-resolutionscheme, which is highlystrong and accurate. In the numerical simulation, Normalized Variable Diagram (NVD) sche...
